U.S. House Small Business Subcommittee Holds Hearing on Right to Repair
The U.S. House of Representatives Small Business Committee Subcommittee on Underserved, Agricultural, and Rural Business Development held a hearing this week titled: “Right to Repair and What it Means for Entrepreneurs.”
The committee discussed harmful repair restrictions on the agriculture and automotive industry and the need for a federal solution to preserve consumer choice when repairing their vehicles. Earlier this year, John Deere Tractor Company was involved in several lawsuits accusing the company of restricting access to repair information for consumers seeking to repair their vehicles themselves or through a third-party.
